#3180 create a bz account for abrt deduplicator
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by jmoskovc.

= bug description =
We need a special account for the purposes of the new bugzilla deduplication service.

= bug analysis =
The bz deduplication will be handled by more than 1 person and will change many bugs, so using our personal accounts is not a good option.

= fix recommendation =
- create a special account abrt-bot@redhat.com with privileges to close, reassign and change bug components.

The details can be found here: https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/815

Are you sure you want 'abrt-bot@redhat.com' and not @fedoraproject.org?

If it's @redhat.com, you will need to create or setup an alias for that account to get the emails, and you'd need to talk to redhat.com mail admins/account admins to set that up, not us.

We can add 'fedorabugs' to the account if you let us know what it is and then it should be able to close bugs, etc.

Thoughts?

abrt-bot@fedoraproject.org is ok too.

Any news about this? We would like to run the deduplication on bugzilla as far from the F17 GA as possible, so could we rise the priority of this?

Sorry for the delay.

So, I can create an alias and bugzilla account.
Who should get the password for and emails generated to this account?

All the people cc'ed here?

  • yes, me + all CCed

Thank you.

ok, the alias and fas account are in place.

You should be able to create a bugzilla account with 'abrt-bot@fedoraproject.org' now and it should be granted fedorabugs.

Please let me know if you need anything further.
