tzdiff is a script to compare two zoneinfo trees or files and dump their differences in human-readable form. The system consumes binary zoneinfo files, such as those that "zic" compiler produces and, in Fedora, tzdata package distributes. In particular it does NOT parse source codes of zoneinfo database. It can consume both 32bit and 64bit zoneinfo files.

tzdiff is licensed under GPL 3. It was written by Petr Machata; contact him on pmachata redhat com. To report a problem or request a feature, file a ticket.

For more info, see README.

To obtain the source code:

$ git clone git://
