#439 need kbase article for 2307 vs 2307bis
Closed: Invalid None Opened 14 years ago by duffy.

If you set up a client to auth via a 2307bis server but use the sys-config-auth settings for LDAP, you'll be setting the client up to connect using 2307. This means groups will not be available and network resources may be inaccessible although you have permissions to use them.

We should have a kbase article describing the symptom, the differences between the two types of LDAP servers, and how to modify sssd.conf to use 2307bis instead of 2307. This is important since sys-config-auth's UI will only handle 2307 and not 2307bis.
