#2664 Shortcut enumeration requests sooner than in the back ends
Closed: wontfix 4 years ago by pbrezina. Opened 8 years ago by jhrozek.

Currently we don't allow enumeration requests from the responders, but rather run enumeration periodically as a timer operation. All providers check if the filter matches the enumeration request and if it does, ends the request gracefully.

It might make sense to shortcut the requests sonner to avoid duplicating the check in all providers. See commit https://fedorahosted.org/sssd/changeset/40bc389bc79bc41429b5a92d5ce75955f8eefaf5/ and this sssd-devel thread:https://lists.fedorahosted.org/pipermail/sssd-devel/2015-June/023715.html
