#2182 [RFE] Add the possibility to add custom attributes for the local provider
Closed: Fixed None Opened 10 years ago by jhrozek.

Currently the local provider is also limited to the POSIX set of attributes. For testing and demoing the dbus provider it would be beneficial to have the possibility to add a custom attribute.

This work can either be done in the scope of the sss_usermod tool or a new one to make it clear that this is just a test tool.

I think sss_usermod and sss_groupmod would be a good place to add just --setattr or --modattr parameters that would behave exactly as the similar parameters in ipa user-mod behave.

changelog: => A new option was added to the sss_usermod tool that allows the administrator to add custom attributes to the local provider-managed users. This is mostly useful for testing the DBus responder without having to setup an LDAP server.
