In ticket #2092 a race condition was identified where the backend is not initialized completely but the responders already sending request to the backend.
Currently the DP_METHOD_REGISTER request is immediately answered by the backend. I think it would help to avoid any kind of this type of race conditions if the backend returns an answer here if the initialization of the backend is complete.
If this is implemented I think the specific fix for #2092 can be removed.
