#6456 Block these packages for f25 and rawhide on koji
Closed: Invalid None Opened 7 years ago by pnemade.

As part of the assigned task https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1605#comment:6 , I executed "fedpkg retire" on below packages on July 30th.

I am not sure if I should wait more to get them auto-blocked but I think this ticket will be easy to track their blocking. They are total 41 packages.

Please note, sys_basher packager grabbed the package again after it got orphaned. So its retirement is still valid as per FESCo ticket.

Why was waiting for them to be autoblocked a problem? It happens with each Rawhide/Branched compose, i.e. it makes sure that the package gets removed from the mirrors at the next possible time. There was a bug though, preventing packages on F25 being properly blocked. This will be fixed with: https://pagure.io/releng/pull-request/97

If you notice any packages that need to be blocked but are not, please re-open this bug report or open a new one. AFAICS there is nothing to be done by releng here.

Sure I can explain this but your comment came so late to ask why waiting for them was a problem.
If you check the FESCo ticket you can find all the needed information there. I was not having the rights to retire the packages and no one even gave me the information that I cannot retire others packages and FESCo clearly said retire packages soon. This mean don't let people own them back as they were retired. If retired package owner migrate to systemd unit file and they want package back they can get it back. When I retired packages they were not blocked for 2 days and someone got the package back as it was.

Sure if there is anything I will open a new ticket now.
