#4768 dist-tag for rebuild of Perl related packages
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by mmaslano.

Hello,
we 'Perl maintainers' would like to have branch for rebuild of new release of Perl with dependent packages. Branch could be named dist-f16-perl.

Would it be possible to make tagging of packages into this buildroot more often than one an hour? For example every 10 minutes?

After successful rebuild, we'd like to move these packages into dist-f16.

When you say "branch", I'm guessing you mean a koji tag/target? If so, the hour vs 10 minutes thing is moot, koji simply processes things immediately (like how dist-f16 happens), though the delay imposed before builds are available to buildroots can take anywhere as fast as 10 minutes to 20-30 sometimes, depending on other factors like load and orderring and such (ie, there's no magic make-it-go-faster button).

Yes, I meant koji tag/target. I'll be happy with koji target without magic make-it-faster button.

target and buildroot added:
$koji list-targets --name=dist-f16-perl
Name Buildroot Destination

dist-f16-perl dist-f16-perl dist-f16-perl

Let us know when no longer needed or if there are any problems.

We'd like to do merge now. Could you start it and close/remove dist-f16-perl branch after that? It has to be done today because of alpha. We are sorry that it took so long, but we run into many problems non related to Perl.

builds were moved to dist-f16. Have you finished your verification scripts, is it safe to remove the dist-f16-perl target and holding tag?

Verification scripts finished. Everything all right. Thank you for your co-operation.

dist-f16-perl tag and target removed from koji.
