Today I pushed a BoxGrinder update to Fedora for all branches:
With this update are rubygems-boxgrinder-build-*-plugin are merged into rubygem-boxgrinder-build package. Proper obsoletes and provides were added to that package.
I followed [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_remove_a_package_at_end_of_life this wiki page] instructions for all [https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/list/?searchwords=rubygem-boxgrinder-build-*-plugin BoxGrinder plugins].
I politely ask to block following packages for all branches (F13/14/15/rawhide, EL5/6): * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-ebs-delivery-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-ec2-platform-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-fedora-os-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-local-delivery-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-rpm-based-os-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-s3-delivery-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-sftp-delivery-plugin * rubygem-boxgrinder-build-vmware-platform-plugin
There also one additional issue. I retired some packages in pacakge database '''before''' cleaning the repo and adding dead.package file. This needs to be fixed for following packages/branches:
Proposed dead.package file content:
{{{ Package was merged into rubygem-boxgrinder-build. }}}
It would be great if you could handle this...
Thank you very much in advance, feel free to reach me if you have questions!
We can not remove them from stable trees. the packages have to be there forever. i have blocked them from dist-f15. so they will be gone from f15 and rawhide.
you should be able to handle the dead.package yourself.
