#3970 move urg-0.8.7-3.fc14 update to stable
Closed: Invalid None Opened 13 years ago by timn.

Please tag urg-0.8.7-3.fc14 into F-14 for the release. The current urg package is defunct (not rebuilt against new Boost).

Koji build is at https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=188656

Update is at https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/urg-0.8.7-3.fc14

I don't know if the tag request is required, but I'm bugged with "broken dep" mails for days now and I made the update already. Known-broken packages (e.g. automatically verified as "broken dep" should be able to go directly to stable, right?).

Thank you.

Afaik circumventing the update process policy is a FESCo job.

I have now requested testing. If I have to jump through hoops and do not get a reply to the update request for nine days I can as well just let it rot broken in F14 for a few more days. Sorry but that doesn't make it compelling to invest time if the process is so slow.

I do believe that pushes to stable for f14 have been disabled until the Alpha release candidates go GOLD. At that time pushes to stable will resume.

Correct; there will be a new stable push once the Alpha passes the acceptance tests. Hopefully this happens on Wednesday.

Given the above commentary, there's no need to keep this ticket open (as far as I can tell). closing.

I still want to mention that I understand that a freeze is a freeze. But a package, that is defunct and not of any use atm should be processed even before the freeze. After all it is only restoring functionality, it's only a rebuild fixing a bug which is reported automatically, not a "real" update.
