By FESCo, "New entry of 'Build packages for which Fedora is upstream for all language translators' review & correction' for F12 schedule" has been approved.

Could you please schedule of making a release for FLP and advise the detail of the place to access?

Red Hat internal translators can come up and have one day Review event. At least those 21 languages will be included: German, French, Korean, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Assamese and Kannada.

'''Status'''[[BR]]

Most of packages have now been kindly built upon the request. The tracking page can be found at [1].

'''Objective'''[[BR]]

This review session is expected to happen during 2009-09-15 to 2009-09-22, allowing translators only 7 days short to review. Translation task along to F12 Schedule is here [2]. [[BR]]
The purpose of this review is to improve translation quality and keep our standard high.

'''Action required'''[[BR]]

Please make a release for translators' review.

What do you mean by "make a release" ?

A Live which contains all the packages below just built (btw 2009-09-10 and 2009-09-15) by developers upon FLP request is needed for translators' review.
Could we have any chance to obtain such Live?

It took time to reach this point, and the request became short notice. For next release, this matter to be contacted with Fedora QA for test spin ahead of time.

Since it is rather short notice and have talked to Ankit and Noriko
I think fedora-i18n can take care of this.

I'm really curious as to why rawhide won't suffice...

Well it's Live CD iso. So, translators need not have to install anything on their production machines for testing. Not everybody has spare machine for testing. So, that way Live CD would help us to test Fedora stuff without affecting our production environment.

Moreover all translators might not necessarily be technically sound enough to upgrade their machines to rawhide and deal with crash build issues, etc. So, this is comparatively easier way for us to do review of our translations with latest packages.

I uploaded a live spin with the above packages included
which can be download from:

fixed kickstart file which doesn't remove system-config-* packages, etc
