As of F-10 the installer is "too large" for most powerpc kernels and firmware to boot directly hence the "approved" install must use yaboot. This update includes fixes that allow F-10 to successully be installed on powerpc (32 and 64bit) machines directly across the network.

F-11 will effectively be un-installable on a wide range of powerpc based machines.

I have tested the included patch on a range of powerpc machines (IBM 64bit and Apple 32bit) I have noted no regressions. The patch is as close to possible to ones subitted for upstream inclusion.
