They work around a network manager feature that breaks the world (and in particular prevents the system from booting properly for some users if the ethernet cable is plugged in).

Hey guys, this update backfired:
[09:19:19] <yaneti> halfline: the gdb reolvalbe-hostname seems to mess up xauth list :0.0 , which in turn breaks ssh X forwarding and su - [09:19:55] <yaneti> err, shoud have benn gdm use-resolvable-hostname.patch
[20:32:08] <halfline> yaneti: ugh [20:33:00] <halfline> yaneti: can you file it? i'll have to fix gdm a different way
[23:57:14] <halfline> yaneti: care to give http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1241 884 a whirl when it finishes?
[04:50:16] <yaneti> halfline: fixed those two issues for me. thanks
Would you guys mind tagging 2.25.2-20. It achieves the "don't depend on hostname for authentication" functionality in a more complicated way (without depending on X doing the right thing with localhost)

3's a charm?
When we updated libXau to back out -4 this broke again because of a bug in g_get_host_name(). I'm working around it in gdm by using gethostname() instead.
Tag gdm-2.26.0-5.fc11 ?
+1 tested and confirmed this fixes it. Please tag, this is urgent.
