The current version of kpackagekit 0.3.1 in rawhide is not compatible with packagekit 0.4.2 which is now in rawhide. I have pinged upstream kpackagekit about spinning a compatible release but the Dev is currently working on polkit-kde. If Dev cannot/willnot do a release will spin a svn build which is compatible. Until this is corrected though KDE users will have no update tools other than yum.

CC'ing other KDE sig members as well... do you have a preference as to what you'd prefer to do? Temporarily block kpackagekit, to make it obvious? Just toss the SVN snapshot in for now?
Trying out svn snapshot/rebuild... we'll know more in a bit.
OK, kpackagekit-0.4.2-0.1.20090128svn.fc11 built: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=80655
testing now, but prelinaries don't look good.
tested on rawhide vm build and no issues for me. Ignore rdieter's previous "don't look good" comment as that was for another package. -)
Was this pulled into F11 Alpha? If so, can it be closed?
kpackagekit-0.4.2-0.1.20090128svn.fc11 was tagged f11-alpha-2, looks good, closing.
