Without this fix, PowerPC machines that do not have AltiVec (G3, others) won't be able to launch most GTK apps or anything that links to pixman, because pixman's altivec detection was broken. Tested on an iBook G3 and on a PowerMac G5. Fix is committed upstream and originally came from Woodhouse.
