After upgrade to glibc-2.9-2, valgrind complains about many things in ld.so, libc.so and other glibc libraries. The problem is that valgrind suppressions are written for each glibc version and don't support character ranges in wildcards. Valgrind 3.3.0-4 adds suppressions for glibc 2.9.
