  • May 22nd, 2011: K12Linux needs your support in our 2011 Fund Drive to make a long-term supported EL6-based LTSP a reality.
  • September 11th, 2010: See Gavin Spurgeon's experimental unofficial repo at for Fedora 13 support.
  • March 31st, 2010: K12Linux works on Fedora 11 and Fedora 12. Follow the InstallGuide to enable the server.
  • Feb 2nd, 2009: K12Linux F10 Live Server released. This is the quickest and easiest way to demo or install a LTSP server and boot an entire network of thin clients.
  • Feb 2nd, 2009: ltsp-5.1.56 released. This fixes numerous bugs including: Sound volume is now audible again, and NBD root no longer hangs during shutdown.
  • Jan 9th, 2009: ltsp-5.1.44 released. It is now possible to use old PPC Mac's as netboot clients to log into your powerful x86_64 LTSP server. Testing and feedback is needed.
  • Nov 9th, 2008: LTSP Hackfest Maine 2008 Report where a number of further improvements to LTSP were made.
  • July 22nd, 2008: RHEL5 Server for LTSP5 instructions. Basics are working stable.
  • Oct 13th, 2008: K12Linux Terminal Server RC1 is released.
  • Oct 12th, 2008: ltsp-5.1.26, ldm-2.0.13, ltspfs-0.5.5 released. Many little bug fixes, new K12Linux LDM login screen theme by Maureen Duffy.
  • Aug 24th, 2008: ltsp-5.1.22 released. This update introduces automatic NBI and ELF (Etherboot) client support, NBD root option, NBD swap by default actually works, and more. See the announcement for more details.
  • Aug 10th, 2008: Fedora 9 Live LTSP Server Beta 1 is released.
  • July 29th, 2008: See the Full Report from the LTSP Hackfest Portland 2008. Big improvements are coming to LTSP for Fedora soon. =)
  • July 2nd, 2008: ldm-2.0.7 pushed to Fedora 9. This version sets keyboard layout at the ldm login screen based upon optional XKB* options in the server's /var/lib/tftpboot/i386/lts.conf. This is important for non-US keyboards. See KeyboardSetup for more details.
  • DEVELOPMENT June 10th, 2008: Read Details In order to support (relatively rare) Coreboot thin clients a patch was pushed to mkelfimage in Fedora updates. Warren still needs to rewrite ltsp-trunk/client/update-kernels to automate image creation.
  • June 10th, 2008: ltsp-5.1.9 pushed to Fedora 9 updates-testing with a few minor bug fixes.
