Please briefly describe the interaction that caused you to file this
ticket:
I have noticed that this Op (fenrus02) is very rude to Fedora rookies and continues to put them down time after time after time. I also feel that he/she abuses the privledge of a channel op by silencing those, including myself, that point out his actions and call him/her out. I feel that if people coming to the #fedora IRC channel for help doing what would be considered as simple tasks to those of us that have been with fedora since the early days and run up against fenrus02, they will run as far from Fedora and FOSS in general and go back to Windows. I may not know as much as fenrus02, but I sure as hell could help people work through the issues they are having a lot better.

Please note other IRC nicks that are involved in this interaction:
fenrus02

Please describe what action or positive change could be adopted based on
this feedback:
Have fenrus02 take a different, more relaxed approach to helping others with issues. Patience is the key.

Any additional notes or logs:

Thanks for your feedback!

In this case you joined and viewed only the last... 10 minutes of a much longer conversation...

As I said in IRC, "If you are not going to help and do the work that you complain about others doing, kindly stuff it... thanks."

Drive by shootings are hardly helpful for anyone, if you don't have the full story how can you judge it?

I look forward to you contributing to the channel on a regular basis in a positive way.

I must say that this is one heck of a system you all have here. I guess I will be suggesting to all my friends, and people I know in the industry, that Red Hat and Fedora are no longer the way to go. It took all of about what, 10 minutes you say, for me to step up call him/her out for being a jerk. And I am not lying when I said I have been in and out of that channel for years going back to FC3. I simply had had enough. Obviously, as I said, I am not the first to say something, but little did I know that nothing will be done. I would be more then happy to contribute
more, but I tend to shy away from people who see those who do not know as much as they do as inferior. I see it as an opportunity to teach, enlighten, and hopefully inspire them to contribute themselves.

"I guess I will be suggesting to all my friends, and people I know in the industry, that Red Hat and Fedora are no longer the way to go."

Sorry to hear it, but out of curiosity, you are deciding this based on one person you appear to have issues with and one comment on this ticket? That sounds like a pretty broad brush.

"little did I know that nothing will be done. "

Did you expect some action in the last hour?

I doubt many folks in the irc support sig have even seen this yet.

Especially in interpersonal relations, time to think and consider positive outcomes is good, IMHO.
