Tell us the following:

What do you need covered? (Please estimate the costs in USD: hotel $X, travel $Y.)

Hotel - Cheapest one would do just OK[[BR]]
Travel - $1190 (USD), (Montreal-Delhi/Mum-Montreal) approx. Costs fluctuate quite often.

If we cannot provide a full subsidy, will a partial subsidy be helpful? (Yes/No?)

If Yes, specify the minimum amount you need covered to facilitate your attendance.
I can pay approx $300 USD myself. So, I need approx. $890. I will also cover all local expenses (flights/trains) to reach venue from anywhere in India.
What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? (Please be as specific as possible, since this is the most important factor in granting requests.)
I have submitted two talks (kernel/userspace tracing and UI/UX), one hackfest (AskFedora redesign/beautification) and one workshop(kernel module programming). I would like to deliver some of these if they get selected. Apart from that, it would be a good opportunity to meet Fedora and RH community once again back in Pune.
If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. Also let us know if you have specific time restrictions.

Air Canada - 6820/6822 (YUL-ZRH-BOM)[[BR]]
Air Canada - 6820/6826 (YUL-ZRH-DEL)

Same/similar flights back, no time restrictions. Incoming flight to BOM and return flight from DEL would be good as well.

Do you need a visa or other official processing before you can attend FUDCon? If so, approximately how long does that processing take?

No.

Include any additional, relevant information.
Booking flights on these routes in advance can save a lot of money sometimes.

Hello Suchakra,

We are pleased to inform you that, your request has been accepted for a maximum of $900 + stay.[1] Stay is provided on the twin sharing basis for the duration of the conference, ie. check-in on 25th June and check-out on 29th June. Expenses for any other days shall be levied on the occupant(you). In case, you need a room for yourself, you'd need to bear half of the room fare.

Please go ahead and book your tickets. We will reimburse the same after the conference. Please ensure to retain your boarding passes, as we will need those for reimbursement.

If you need an invitation & introduction cover letter for Visa purposes, please send in the following details to me(pjp@...) via email with "FUDCon visa letter" as Subject line.

Full Name as it appears in passport
Passport number
Country of Citizenship
Arrival date in destination city
Departure date from destination city
Purpose of travel
Current work location
Job title
Any other information required in the letter as advised by the travel agent/visa processing vendor

They needed to re-verify my identity because of some Canadian law. I got a confirmation from Paypal saying its verified now, so probably there shouldn't be any issue anymore.

I have been informed by Siddhesh about spare budget and the possibility of getting reimbursed the remaining amount. My total booking amount was $1212.76 USD. I got reimbursed $900 USD. The remaining amount is $312.76 USD.

The booking was done in Canadian Dollars and the booking price was $1459.28 CAD and the equivalent US Dollars amount was $1212.76 USD. The screenshot of the USD amount and the ticket invoice PDF (with CAD amount) has been mailed to Siddhesh, Huzaifa and PJP already.

In the future, for faster reimbursement, please attach receipts to the trac ticket.

I refrain from adding receipts on publicly viewable Trac isntances as it contains my personal information that I don't want to divulge.

Also, You have send me USD $1212.76 instead of USD $312.76 (which was the remaining amount). Please provide me your e-mail ID for Paypal so that I can refund $900. Alternatively, if you want, I can refund the whole amount and you can make another transaction for USD $312.76.

Just bumping this thread.

In short, I have money (USD $900) that does not belong to me. I need to return it. Can I return extra money to same email address (on Paypal) from which I got it? If yes, you will be getting $891 as $9 paypal fees will be charged.
