Tell us the following:

What do you need covered? (Please estimate the costs in USD: hotel $X, travel $Y)

Hotel + Plane tickets. I welcome room sharing and I can take care of my others expenses.

For hotel, I plan on arriving January 28 and leave on February 1.

Plane ticket should be at around 750$ with Delta Airlines for the round trip (Departure from Quebec, YQB).

If we cannot provide a full subsidy, will a partial subsidy be helpful? (Yes/No)

Yes, of course!

What will you accomplish by being at FUDCon? (Please be as specific as possible, since this is the most important factor in granting requests.)

After attending my first FUDCon last year in Toronto, it's easier to see how this sort of event flow now.

One thing that I would like to organize at the FUDCon is to do a cleanup of the Review Requests that are in Bugzilla. Many good packages are there and just wait for a review. I think that it could be extended to an IRC effort too at the same time, so, people unable to attend could help too.

I plan on meeting other Fedora Ambassadors to see how we can speed the grow of the Fedora Project in Quebec and Canada. We have already completed many steps on this but some remains. Meeting with other Ambassadors (and some from other regions than USA) will be really helpful.

I also plan on working with others on packaging efforts that will be present at the FUDCon.

Apart from that, I plan to have fun meeting people that share the same goal as me!

If you are requesting airfare, include complete flight information such as flight numbers, desired departure and arrival airports, and times. Also let us know if you have specific time restrictions.

I plan to leave from YQB on January 28 to PHX and make the trip back on February 1. I have no special needs and I don't mind the departure/arrival time.

Many flights leave from Quebec for this date so I will choose the less expensive one when I book the final travel details.

Do you need a visa or other official processing before you can attend FUDCon? If so, approximately how long does that processing take?

No, everything is fine here.

inode0 to contact jfsaucier to find out how much of a partial subsidy would be appropriate/acceptable.

As asked by inode0, I will provide what partial subsidy would be good for me.

If the partial subsidy can cover my room and maybe 300, 350, 400$ of my plane ticket, that would be good for me and I can provide the rest to be there.

Jeff, we'll cover the plane ticket, and you can cover your part of a hotel room. It's difficult for us to split a plane ticket with you, but it should be much easier for you to split a hotel room with someone. This was approved at the 9/14/10 subsidy meeting.
