Tell us the following:
I'd like to have hotel and travel covered. I am checking the cost now and supply the info ASAP.
If possible I'd like to transit Hong Kong for connecting up the open source community in GuangDong area (Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, etc). I have contacted the HKLUG for giving a talk in one of their meet up in May right before the FUDCon. No hotel will be needed for the transit.
No. I am currently a low income person.
N/A
I am the current member of FAmSCo. I am looking for meeting with active Fedora ambassadors and communities in APAC region, discuss the production and shipping of swags and media, improve the reimbursement process, and plan the community expansion in SouthEast and East Asia.
I will supply this ASAP. I am planning to have the following journey:
Preference 1 (if transit to HK is possible) Brisbane -> Hong Kong (hopefully 15 or 16 May 2012) -- meeting with HKLUG, 2 days Hong Kong -> Kuala Lumpur (17 or 18 May 2012) -- FUDCon Kuala Lumpur -> Brisbane (20 May 2012)
No I think. I have entered Malaysia without Visa a few times for 3 weeks stay, using my UK or Australia Passport.
My partner will leave Brisbane and go to Malaysia (Johor Bahru, next to Singapore) to see her parents on 20 May 2012. However, our time are not matching each other. I need to come back to Brisbane by 20 May 2012 just to taking care of my pets at home.
Flight: $443 (Brisbane -> Hong Kong) + $51 (Hong Kong -> Kuala Lumpur) + $284 (Kuala Lumpur) = $778 Hotel: $67 x 3 nights = $201 (I am sharing the room, so it may be half.)
(Plus transportation in KL.)
AirAsia is the cheapest option I think: 1. 13 May 2012 (Sun): 2135 - 0405 (OOL -> KUL), 0710 - 1105 (KUL -> HKG) (1.5: meeting open source community in Hong Kong) 2. 17 May 2012 (Thu): 2105 - 0050 (HKG -> KUL) (2.5: FUDCon APAC in KL) 3. 20 May 2012 (Sun): 1020 - 2020 (KUL -> OOL)
My time restriction is ASAP - that special prices are first come first served so if I can be approved sooner, I can secure the lowest fees. I have to go at such early time on Sunday as AirAsia seems has only 1 flight from Kuala Lumpur to Brisbane per week.
PS: The trip from KL to HK is worth to do because it costs extra $200 to meet the community in South China at once. Please kindly approve that also.
There will be a "Funding Approval Meeting" on Friday March 23rd, 2012 at 14:00 UTC (#fudcon-planning). Please, do attend the meeting as we might have some questions for you before approving your funding.
I am thinking of deliver a talk in one or two of the following topics:
I have created a ticket for the transit funding request in FAmSCo trac - https://fedorahosted.org/famsco/ticket/277
The flight plan of Brisbane <-> KL will be updated below timely wite latest fees.

Hi kaio,
I'm wondering on updates on the part where you need to ask a particular amount from the regional budget for the trip to HK.
I got verbally agreed by HKLUG for organising an event when the date will match my planned trip.
However, I have submitted a ticket in FAmSCo trac and was requested a wiki page about the event.
This is kinda Catch 11 that I need a confirmed fund for the transit and the fund needs a confirmed event. :P
I am waiting for the reply from HKLUG for an event page, to be shown to FAmSCo for amount.
Things are not going smooth and flight seats of AirAsia are fewer and fewer along time.
s/Catch 11/Catch 22/
Sorry, I don't understand what the problem is? Why can't you create a wiki page? A wiki page does not indicate the event actually takes place.
And if your presence is so important that the event won't take place without you, your request in FAmSCo's trac should be more specific. Please read http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Sponsoring_event_attendees and add relevant information there.
From yesterday's "Funding Approval Meeting", your funding has been approved. Would you prefer harish buying the flight ticket or prefer getting a reimbursement for it (as flight ticket pricing fluctuates and buying it yourself can get it at a lower price)?
If you prefer the former, to process your flight ticket, we need a few personal details from you.
Could you please email these details to my email, which can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Mavjs
Details are sent to mavjs' email.
