Ticket was cloned from Red Hat Bugzilla (product Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7): Bug 1084609

Upstream spec file can run in CLIENT_ONLY mode, installing just freeipa-client and it's dependencies. As was requested in RHEL downstream, admintools subpackage could be generated as well to allow running "ipa" command on such client-only installations.

Jan has already some patches ready.

ipa-4-0:

  • 22ce015 Include the ipa command in client-only build
