#2259 Create NIS map for ethers table
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by rcritten.

Ticket 1132 adds support for tracking the host MAC address.

Add a new NIS map for the ethers file taking advantage of this data.

So to make sure I understand correctly, we're adding "macAddress" to the "ipaHost" class? And we're looking to provide that information in the form of "ieee802Device" entries? Should the "fqdn" be presented as a "cn" value, as used at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691431#c5, or should the compat entry be laid out differently (for example, with the hostname in an "fqdn" attribute)?

Yes, I am going to add macAdress to the ipaHost class.

I read 2307bis the same way as laid out in the bug. fqdn is an IPA attribute so we should use cn in compat.
