root@ipaclient:/etc/pam.d Tue Sep 20 13:48:46 # ipa-client-install --mkhomedir ipamaster.kvm.net is not an IPA v2 Server. Installation failed. Rolling back changes. IPA client is not configured on this system. root@ipaclient:/etc/pam.d Tue Sep 20 13:48:57 # ipa-client-install --mkhomedir Discovery was successful! Hostname: ipaclient.kvm.net Realm: KVM.NET DNS Domain: kvm.net IPA Server: ipaslave.kvm.net BaseDN: dc=kvm,dc=net --------------------
Is there anything we can do to change the client installation behavior such that it queries all available records in the event that the first one is down (I'm assuming it's just checking the first record returned based on what I'm seeing). In the above scenario, ipamaster.kvm.net has it's services offline, and the client installation failed 3 times. The 4th attempt succeeded as it's connected to the ipaslave.kvm.net.
Moving the ticket to the next month iteration.
