#1610 Create spec file to build samba4 and samba3 from master
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by sbose.

Currently many of the needed features are only available in the samba master tree. To be able to test and demo IPA AD integration we need a samba package which contains all those features.

It would be nice to have a samba4 package which contains all the needed samab4 libraries, but also the samba3 binaries which can be used in future Fedora versions and in the nightly build process of IPA.

Draft spec and tarball creation script uploaded here:
http://lacrosse.redhat.com/~gdeschne/samba40/

64bit packages for fedora15 are uploaded as well now.

These packages do not install here.
I get tons of errors about missing libs for samba-4.0-libs
I also get other errors about symbols mismatches if I try to install both samba-4.0, samba-4.0-common and samba-4.0-libs

Also would it make sense to create a samba-4.0-fileserver package ?
I want to install smbd, nmbd but not sbin/samba as I do not need the DC part.

Fixed various issues in the spec, it indeed not install correctly. Should be better now, I uploaded a new set of rpms and the spec. Working on remaining issues now, like the fileserver package.

Moved to September because some issues were found.
