This is not an actual bug, see explanation in Bugzilla. The only problem I found is that nsupdate returns success even when the updated zone does not exist and no DNS record can be updated.

I can leave this ticket open until the bug in bind-utils is fixed.

Changing the summary to reflect the actual problem better.

Pushing to July milestone so that it won't distort June milestone status. Anyway it's just a tracking ticket, no change in IPA is needed. (maybe except a bump of bind-utils version in spec)

Reported nsupdate problem has not been resolved yet - moving the ticket to the next milestone.

The problem was solved only on RHEL, cloned a Fedora bug:
