Jakub provided initial patch, I updated it fixing a corner case and adding some unit tests

Gah, wrong update.

This is going to be fixed in SSSD. All we need to do is update the spec with the N-V-R of sssd.

This was pushed into SSSD master and 1-5 branches. It will be part of sssd-1.5.2
