apitrace 5.0 bundles libbacktrace. libbacktrace lives within gcc [1]. According to Jakub Jelinek, building libbacktrace as a shared library and packaging it from the gcc sources is not feasible [2]. The bundled libbacktrace sources are unchanged, and have been updated on one occasion [3]. Unbundling is unlikely to ever happen.
