Some time ago Ivan Efremov (iefremov) was the UGENE package maintainer. But on February our package has been retired. Now I want to be the UGENE package maintainer.
= recommendation =
I registered on the Fedora project (yalgaer) and Ivan Efremov (iefremov) send me the invitations to the packager and provenpackager groups but I can't join to the packager and provenpackager groups and I can't commit the new version of the UGENE package.
Please, tell me what steps I need to do to become the UGENE package maintainer.
I guess you need to be sponsored into developers group by a sponsor or FESCo. You shouldn't be a provenpackager if you don't have experience with maintenance of rpms in Fedora.
Since the ugene package was blocked, it needs a (re)review to be readded to the collection.
