Hi FESCo!
Unfortunately I need to ask for Feature Freeze exception for JBoss AS 7:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/JBossAS7
As it is already stated on the above Feature page - the plan is to provide a partial functionality of JBoss AS 7 for Fedora 17 and extending it with new updates afterwards. The reason for that is that JBoss AS 7 has a big dependency tree (for full AS7 more or less 200 new packages needs to be reviewed and submitted). This is a huge effort.
There is also an oVirt Feature accepted which relies on AS 7 for their engine. Our priority is to satisfy their needs and to make oVirt run on top of our RPMed AS 7, but it's still a lot of work.
Although we try to do our best in the packaging effort - the current state of the feature isn't stable, even more - the core spec files aren't submitted yet. It's actively developed here:
https://github.com/fedora-jboss-as/jboss-as-rpm
Currently submitted packages are AS7 (build and runtime) dependencies - almost no AS7 specific code is submitted yet. Not accepting new packages will make this feature unusable as currently it's just a set of packages not glued together.
We hope to drag more people in the coming days/weeks to make the packaging work as fast as possible. That's why I kindly ask FESCo to make an exception for AS 7 feature.
Thank you for your understanding!

As far as I know many packages are waiting for legal statement. Do you think they can be reviewed before F-17 is out?
Replying to [comment:3 mmaslano]:
Yes, this is being actively worked on. It should be cleared soon.
What's the current status here?
Replying to [comment:5 notting]:
We found a resolution for the legal issues. The work on fixing this is kicked now.
The legal issues are fixed now, both - upstream and in Fedora.
Feature exception approved.
Thank you!
