#460 FPC ratification: No Mandatory FESCo ratification
Closed None Opened 13 years ago by toshio.

At the last FPC Meeting, the FPC discussed whether FESCo ratification should be required. We voted that it should not be requiredd, but we'd institute a rule that any FPC member could request FESCo review.

+1 from me, but can we also add a rule that FESCo members can request a FESCo review?

(Note: I won't be able to make it for the meeting today)

I'd think that that's already part of the FESCo can choose to have FPC re-evaluate a packaging guidelines at any time "policy". Policy in quotes since I don't know if that's actually written down anywhere but it's something that we've talked about in past FESCo meetings. It falls out of two things: 1) FESCo delegating the authority to make Guidelines to the Packaging Committee and 2) FESCo being the body for arbitrating disputes between contributors.
