#281 Approve Fedora 13 Schedule
Closed None Opened 14 years ago by poelstra.

= Proposal topic =

  • FESCo review and approval of the Fedora 13 Schedule proposed by Release Engineering

= Overview =

= Problem space =

  • On time delivery of Fedora 13

= Solution Overview =

  • Follow the schedule and add time on when we don't.

= Active Ingredients =

  • Development, Releng, QA, etc.
  • Added Feature submission deadline is two weeks before feature freeze--requested by FESCo for F13)
  • Had to add two weeks to the schedule to avoid a potential conflict releasing at the same time as Ubuntu and the potential problems that might cause on the mirrors.

= Owners =

  • John Poelstra for Release Engineering

Why don't we remove 2 weeks instead so we release first?

There are any number of ways to skin the cat :)

Here's what that would look like.

This would be less favorable considering where feature freeze lands and how soon the Alpha would be. It might also possibly be the shortest release in Fedora's history.

Well, it'd be another 5 month schedule like F8 and F12.

This schedule was approved at the 2009-12-04 FESCo meeting.
