#1632 Drop package ACLs for user: spike
Closed None Opened 7 years ago by pingou.

= phenomenon =

Each packager is required to have a bugzilla account with the email they set in FAS (or ask infra to set-up an exception for them).

The user spike changed their email a while ago and that new email does not have a corresponding bugzilla account.

The Fedora Infrastructure has been trying to reach them, unsuccessfully.

A month ago, we reached out to the devel list[0] asking for help from the community to contact this user, without success.

Could FESCo consider this user MIA and dropping their ACLs in pkgdb?

Thanks for your time.

I am commiter of all packages for which spike is the owner, I've been de-facto maintaining them for a couple of years and I volounteer to become their PoC. Instead of orphaning his packages, please consider assinging them to me to prevent accidental retirement.

Adding this to the agenda for next FESCo meeting at 16:00 on Friday.

I've just changed my Bugzilla email address back from spike@fedoraproject.org. It seems, the system doesn't like me using the fedora mail address in bugzilla.

Great, thanks spike!

From the infra side it look like the issues is still ongoing.

Your FAS email is spikefedora - gmail, while as far as I can
see [1], your bugzilla email is your @fedoraproject.org alias
while both addresses need to match.

Could you look into it?

Thanks!

Whoops, I overlooked that I actually had to confirm the email change request. Sorry about that. Should be fixed now...

I can confirm that it is fixed now, many thanks! :)
