quassel maintainer (tuxbrewr) does not respond. There were several security issues (thankfully fixed by proven packager Robert Scheck), and still are in EL6. I'd like to take over the package to fix issues in EL6 and ensure more fixes and updates in future for all branches.
I requested co-maintainer commit access some weeks ago and also initiated the procedure for non-responsive maintainers 3 weeks ago: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1294472

So, I am in general in favor here, but they are point of contact for 38 packages. Many of them sugar* related.
I guess I am +1 to orphan quassel since we have an interested maintainer. So thhats +5, and I have done the orphaning.
I'll leave this ticket open to discuss the rest.

Info: el5 branch orphaned again, quassel never reached el5 repos and backporting a current version of quassel to el5 is not possible (Qt4 too old, KDE4 too old, ...). For el6 I'll switch to 0.10.1 with patches (one of the previous maintainers pushed 0.11.0, but it cannot be built due to lack of C++11 compatibility...).
In today's FESCo meeting, we found that tuxbrewr hadn't been CC'd on this ticket, and so decided to add him to this ticket and wait another week to see if he responds.

I have orphaned their packages and mailed the list to the devel list looking for new points of contact.
