#1457 F23 System Wide Change: jQuery
Closed None Opened 8 years ago by jkurik.

For the 2015-Jul-01 meeting as the Change Proposal was announced on devel-announce list on 2015-Jun-23.

Traditionally, a copy of jQuery has been included with every web application that requires it. This change will migrate many of those applications to a shared system copy of jQuery. Both the 1.x branch of jQuery that supports Internet Explorer 6 and the 2.x branch of jQuery that only works with modern web browsers will be provided.

Postponed for the 2015-Jul-08 meeting.

I see that all the 3 packages js-jquery, js-jquery1, js-jquery-migrate are now in Fedora 23. So, now should be the task of identifying different set of packages depending on their required jQuery version and migrate them to system shared copy.

This change was accepted for Fedora 21 but did not get complete due to unfinished package reviews and now moved to Fedora 23.

  • AGREED: F23 System Wide Change: jQuery (+7, 0, -0) (paragan, 18:34:05)
