For the 2015-06-17 meeting as the Change Proposal was announced on devel-announce list on 2015-06-10.
Up until now, Fedora has used Python 2 as the default Python implementation. This change proposes switching to Python 3. The details of the term "switching" are explained thoroughly in the Scope section of the Change proposal. [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Python_3_as_Default Change proposal] [https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2015-June/211272.html Announcement]
I’m not sure I will be able to join today’s meeting; +1 except that if I understand the mailing list conversation correctly, the conclusion was to ship both Python 2 and 3 in the Atomic host images.
AGREED: table this for followup with the Change owners, we need to define the end game, and make the change reflective of what will actually be delivered in Fedora 23, ideally with some kind of rough plan to get to the end game (+5,0,0)
