current pkgdb2 behavior and policy is that only a package's "Main Contact" can retire pacakges. Please consider relaxing that policy to allow any package admin to do so as well. thanks.

FYI, in the context of pkgdb, package admins are those with approveacls permissions

This seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to allow to me. I'm in favor of letting anyone with 'admin' (ie, approveacls) be able to retire.

I agree this is a reasonable thing to do. Please allow it.

+1 to allow people having approveacls to retire their packages.

AGREED: Allow also package admins to retire the package (+7, 0, -0) (thozza, 18:17:45)

Note that I wrongly counted votes in the meeting, there was nobody against the proposal.

Thanks for the ticket Rex and for the vote everyone, I will adjust pkgdb2 accordingly.
