Just a note that a further, question was raised in the related, No Default Sendmail ticket: https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1143

At this time no one has mentioned wanting to remove rsyslog from a spin despite this vote so not reopening this one yet.

rsyslog was removed too - https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/spin-kickstarts.git/commit/fedora-gnome-packages.ks?id=279c21441cdacb1d548dc1f1b39acc2882ef4024

Not that it would change the overall result, but I'm revising my -1 to a +1 (bringing the count to +4, -3, 2).

I've spent the last week with rsyslog uninstalled on my system and I now believe that journalctl is a sufficient replacement. I think it still needs some work to be more user-friendly, but that's effort that can be put in as we go.

AGREED: Let spins contain the package set they want. (within reason). Our previous proposal should be seen as applicable to the dvd and netinstall rather than spins. (+8,0,0)
