as I expect some people I know to submit their first packages to be reviewed, I'd like to apply for sponsorship, so I can guide them through the beginning.
I've done a number of Fedora reviews in the past (both as reviewer and reviewee, could have been more, as always ;-)) and I think I'm familiar enough with the packaging guidelines to be up to the job.

Though you mention you've done a number of reviews, I'm only seeing like 5 from your redhat.com address BTW. Is there some other address I should be looking at too?
No, these five are those where I've done the complete, formal Fedora package review (I told you it could have been more ;-)). [http://preview.tinyurl.com/cxtclw I've been involved with a bit more] though as a third party (disregard the merge reviews and the CVS requests, not sure how and if I can filter them out in Bugzilla).
FWIW, as part of my day job, I've also shepherded about 70 packages from a third party until they were in more or less acceptable shape for being built and distributed by Red Hat. Note that while I did criticize instances where these packages didn't meet Fedora packaging guidelines, not all were deemed blockers (which I'm not happy about, but I digress).
