I'd like to nominate myself for provenpackager status.
I (co)maintain a few dozen packages, including libreswan/openswan, tor, libotr/pidgin-otr, and a bunch of other DNS and crypto related packages.
I wish to become a provenpackager because I think it would be good for Fedora if I can give some poor half forgotten packages a few extra hugs and patches.
I have a handful of outstanding bugs filed, including patches, that seem to have been ignored/lost by the maintainers. Most are trivial patches but security related (eg strcpy(crypt(...)) calls in FIPS mode) that I'm seeing through the f17 EOL triage and I'm a little frustrated that after 1.5 years some of these haven't even seen a ack (or nack) from the maintainer. Some of these are even fixed in newer versions upstream (whom I also sent the patches).
pwouters has been around forever and has earned provenpackager status if he wants it. Honestly I'm surprised he doesn't have it already.
I agree with tibbs, I am surprised he isn't already a member of provenpackager. +1
<blinks> Yeah, what they said. +1
+1
+1 here as well.
+1 I see that pam is one of the packages where I fixed the crypt() NULL returns only for F19 and rawhide. I just don't really see FIPS mode working in Fedora such a high priority that it requires separate package update that's why I did not backport the fix yet.
Sorry about the delay. You've been added now to provenpackager.
