Multiple outages to allow for work on the request by Karsten Wade to enable searching by default for specific namespaces for all users, and to switch to an integrated authentication plugin to enable standard Mediawiki authentication. This should be the last step in resolving authentication issues currently causing trouble.
I think these got all done so I'm going to close this ticket. Please open it if I should not have closed it.
