#739 mt-st-owner@fedoraproject.org - unknown user
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by sharkcz.

After a commit in devel branch of mt-st package I have received the following email-system error message instead of the usual commit message. I am the owner of mt-st for F-8, 9 and Rawhide, F-7 is orphaned.

Appears to be a problem with Package DB (i.e. there is nothing in the sync script that'd cause this that I can see).

(For reference:
{{{
22:31 < G> sharkcz: interesting...
22:32 < sharkcz> G: if I remember I got such message also for "mtx", can be connected with
recent ownership changes
22:32 < G> sharkcz: looks to be an issue with packagedb
22:35 < sharkcz> G: the previous owner had a locked account in fas, so some manual
intervention was probably needed
}}}
)

I can't see immediately why though.

So I can confirm that mtx has the same problem. I have released and re-taken the ownership (for "Devel" only) as suggested by nigelj on IRC, but this did not help.

It was mtx where I have played with the ownership.

Should be fixed now. I fixed it in the pkgdb, saw the alias show up in the alias file on bastion.

I've sent a test message to mt-st-owner@fedoraproject.org which didn't bounce.

Feel free to reopen if something still doesn't work.

Did you fix both mt-st and mtx or mt-st only (test mail correctly received)?

The fix should apply to both mt-st, mtx, and a bunch of other packages. I just checked and confirmed that mtx-owner is in the aliases file too.

I'm not sure if the issue was fixed specifically for the mentioned packages or for everything, because I just got an identical bounce from xferstats-owner@fedoraproject.org.

I'll go ahead and reopen; sorry if I shouldn't.

The fix fixed several packages but apparently there's more bugs in the SQL queries. I just have to get enough time in one spot to figure out what sets xferstats apart and fix the query.

So, xferstats is not showing up because the active collections all have a comaintainer who does not have watchbugzilla or watchcommits.

Looking into how to restructure the query so this does not cause problems.

Implemented two queries instead of one. This means the pkgdb portion of list generation takes 20s rather than 10s but should now be accurate.
