#658 add author/commiter information to the subject in rss feed
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by thl.

The rss feed at
https://fedoraproject.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Recentchanges&feed=rss
really is handy to track what's going on in the wiki as it provides diffs of each individual change. But there is afaics one important information missing in the feed: the author/committer of the change in question.

It would be really nice to see that information without going to the wiki again. Thus I'd suggest to add it to the subject which currently lists only the page name. E.g. instead of the Subject scheme "Foo" (where Foo is the page title) it would be nice to have "Foo was changed by bar" (or something like that)

The author information does appear to be in the RSS feed. For example, if you are looking at the feed through Firefox, the information is not displayed. I'm using the Evolution RSS Reader Plugin as my RSS reader and it displays the modifier (author) of the wiki page.

In the rss feed provided, the xml is coded with <dc:creator>author</dc:creator> tags. In the rss atom type, its coded with <author><name>Author</name></author> tags.

The information appears to be provided but it might not be displayed depending on how the RSS feed is being viewed.

Hi, I'm marking this as a duplicate of #961, since that ticket has a more specific description.
