Today I wanted to download F9-i386 and decided to visit http://fedoraproject.org/get-fedora and use the direct download link instead of bittorrent.
The first time I clicked the link (noaa.gov) it gave me a 404, the second time I hit "forbidden", another too many users -- so basically the first 3 or 4 clicks I made gave errors. Finally on the 5th click it worked.
I'm opening a ticket here since I asked in fedora-admin and the thought is that maybe the mirror crawler is not keeping up with which mirrors are good to go or something (per mmcgrath).
Forbidden link:
http://linux.nssl.noaa.gov/fedora/linux/releases/9/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-9-i386-DVD.iso
Invalid link
ftp://ftp.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/fedora.redhat/linux/releases/9/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-9-i386-DVD.iso/
gatech mirror link is working now (well, without the trailing slash).
noaa.gov mirror is failing oddly. That ISO doesn't appear in their index page. Re-assigning to the sysadmin of that mirror. -Matt
I think this is resolved now. The crawlers run almost continuously now, so certainly within a few hours they're correct.
