#5393 IRC meetings: #meetingname changes log name, contrary to documentation
Closed: Fixed None Opened 7 years ago by nphilipp.

= bug description =

According to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Zodbot#Meeting_Functions, using the #meetingname command should not change the log name of a meeting.

In the Fedora Modularity WG meeting, we started the last couple of meetings with:

{{{

startmeeting modularity_wg

meetingname Weekly meeting of Modularity WG

}}}

I would have expected meetings to be logged under modularity_wg, but apparently they're logged under weekly_meeting_of_modularity_wg instead:

{{{
<nils> #endmeeting
* zodbot has changed the topic to: Fedora Meeting channel 3 | Meetings are often logged | See https://apps.fedoraproject.org/calendar/location/fedora-meeting-2%40irc.freenode.net/ for meeting schedule | For support please go to #fedora

= bug analysis, fix recommendation =

Either the docs are wrong and need to be updated, or the bot needs to be fixed to not change the log name on #meetingname.

The docs are/were wrong. ;(

Sorry about that... I have corrected them.
