#5390 Replace private modularity server with Fedora Hosted instance
Closed: Fixed None Opened 7 years ago by langdon.

Purpose of instance: For the modularity objective we have a need to serve some of our components in a shared dev capacity while we work on the project. We also hope to serve some shared usage to the wider community in the Flock 2016 timeframe.

OS needed: F23 / F24 (whichever is easier)
(Fedora / RHEL and version)

Size of instance: medium?
(small, medium, large. If unsure, ask)

External Ports needed: 80, 443
(ssh and icmp are always allowed, add any additional ports you need open)

Length of time instance needed: indefinite, minimum 2yrs

FAS account names or group that needs access: modularity-wg

FAS account of primary contact: langdon (fas)
(will get emails on downtime, etc)

Any other needs: 100G persistent would be helpful for repo storage.
(persistent volumes, additional cpu or memory needs, etc)

Just to be clear - we're asking for a persistent cloud node here with no real SLA. We just need something on which to stand experimental services for development.

We'll probably point our fed-mod.org domain at it. :)

Some revisions / additions (this is why you don't let "management" open tickets!) ;)

Preferred URL: modularity.fedorainfracloud.org (however, we also own the fed-mod.org domain, so we will point that here too)

Ports: 80, 443, 8080, 8000, 4001. Would actually prefer "not 22" just to diminish automated attacks, I often use 9022, but no strong preference.

This instance has been setup.
Enjoy!
