Purpose of instance:
I would to like to host an Eclipse Infocenter, in the same vein as http://help.eclipse.org/mars/index.jsp but it would contain only documentation for plug-ins that we ship in Fedora and omit documentation for plug-ins that we do not ship. It will be a source of Eclipse documentation specific to the version of Fedora you're running.
OS needed:
Fedora 23 is fine (or newest available Fedora)
Size of instance:
Small should be fine for now (probably will be low-traffic)
External Ports needed:
80
Length of time instance needed:
6 months to start with. Is it possible to host here indefinitely?
FAS account names or group that needs access:
mbooth
FAS account of primary contact:
Any other needs:
Not yet :-)
Sure, we can do this... and yes, we can keep it around.
The one other item I need is a name. It will be <name>.fedorainfracloud.org in DNS
What would you like?
Simply "eclipse" would be ideal for the name.
Thanks!
Done: eclipse.fedorainfracloud.org should be live. You should be able to ssh in as root with your fedora account system ssh key.
Let us know if you need anything further on it.
It looks good, thanks.
For those interested, I deployed a proof of concept to test it: http://eclipse.fedorainfracloud.org/f24/index.jsp
Hi,
I would like to grant two further users access to the instance. FAS names are:
Unrelatedly: What monitoring tools are available to me to monitor the machine?
Thanks, Mat
Done, sopotc and akurtakov should now be able to login as root.
Replying to [comment:6 mbooth]:
Fedora infrastructure uses Nagios for monitoring. By default it is enabled only for production machines, but some cloud instances use it too (eg. Copr backend).
