#5186 disabling one arch disables all
Closed: Upstream 6 years ago Opened 8 years ago by ausil.

= bug description =
I disabled the sparc arches for mirrormanager, sparc and sparc64 have been dead a long time and saying there is a rawhide branch sets a false picture, its not under development.

= bug analysis =
disabling sparc caused all arches to be disabled for rawhide

= fix recommendation =

disable sparc sparc64 and ia64 if it shows as an option from having mirror lists

I removed those arches (sparc and sparc64) as well as ia64 from the development branch mirror list manually.

How did you try to disable those arches? Curious to know how to reproduce that bug.

I logged into https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager went to repository management found the repos I wanted to disable and checked the disable button sparc64 needs disabled also

is this still an issue?

Yes, this problem still exists. Looking at https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/ there is still sparc and sparc64 listed for rawhide. Even if I remove the repositories from the database, MirrorManager adds them back. This is kind of correct, because we still have sparc and sparc64 rawhide repositories in the archive tree.

MirrorManager needs a (probably) simple change to filter out certain architectures during repository creation. This probably should be tracked at https://github.com/fedora-infra/mirrormanager2 as it is not something which can be solved without a code change.

Closing this now in favor of that one.
