#5067 create metadata for testing package
Closed: Fixed None Opened 8 years ago by jsilhan.

= phenomenon =
I am testing new features of RPM (combination of weak and rich dependencies) in Fedora and I would like to know whether they work with current state of servers of Fedora infrastructure. More specifically I'd like to check how the repo metadata look like following the same workflow as Fedora(-updates) repos creation without the need to actually push testing package into fedora repos.

I am going to propose solution for [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1114422#c22 langpacks] using RPM relations for F24 and I would like to know that it will work in real world.

= background analysis =
I successfully tested it locally on F23 and in COPR but Fedora infrastructure is like a black box for me. The generation of metadata depends on rpm and createrepo_c versions used during metadata creation.

= implementation recommendation =
Either tell me how can I test it by myself or generate metadata for [http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=12562754 these packages] the same way as for any fedora repo and let me see it, please.

mash the tool we use to make repos does not have any support at all for createrepo_c I am not sure what you are asking but yoyu should make a request to release engineering not infrastructure. please be much clearer about what you are actually asking when asking them.
