= background analysis =
[http://www.freeipa.org/ FreeIPA] heavily uses COPR for releasing new FreeIPA versions to stable Fedoras, when the bits are not a good fit for stable repos. We use COPRs in my space and then allow team members to update the repo:
https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/mkosek/
However, it is not so convenient, it would be better to have an official team account and be able to create COPR repos there.
= implementation recommendation =
Would it be possible to create a team account "freeipa" for creating project COPRs? I am open to suggestions, what is the preferred way.
PS1: we already have Fedorahosted Trac (fedorahosted.org/freeipa/), maybe it would be a good systematic RFE to allow Trac projects have a COPR space with the same name? Just an idea.
PS2: slightly related ticket from our team: #4522
Copr already support groups. See: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.redhat.fedora.devel/212803
You can active (and make alias) your FAS group "gitfreeipa" in copr at: https://copr.fedoraproject.org/groups/list/my
If you need differerent users for Copr and different users for git, then please request new group in FAS.
This is awesome. Thank you Mirek!
